Northville MI project Shadowboxing Part II

Heres a good example of how to terminate the end of a piece of trim. I installed a new section of chair rail, which ends at an outside corner. By back-mitering the larger piece, I cut a smaller opposing piece, and glued it into place (DO NOT NAIL)!






And here Ive done more shadowboxing at the bay window to finish out the dining room. The next project will be chair rail and shadowboxing on the stairway - stay tuned!

Petersburg MI continuing on with the bookcase

Here are some new pictures of the project. Ive finished out the bookcase rough-in, and Ill be moving on to the arched valences next, and then the fluted trim!
This week Ill be doing more staining in the shop, since I have some valence measurements now!
Also, the tile guy was in this week and finished the tile around and below the fireplace.
